Health Guarantee
Initial Health Guarantee:
The puppy you are adopting will have had their first distemper shot and a series of de-worming given to them by a licensed veterinarian and is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of sale. Your puppy must be seen by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of adoption. If there are any concerns, then Silver Labs of Oak Hill must be notified within 24 hours. If these terms are not kept, then the Initial Health Guarantee will be void.
Genetic Health Guarantee:
The puppy you are adopting is guaranteed to be in good health and free of genetic life threatening illnesses that result in death for one year. Should your puppy die from a genetic life threatening illness in the first year Silver Labs of Oak Hill will either replace your puppy with a comparable puppy from the first available litter (not the same parents) or refund the purchase price of your puppy. A licensed veterinarian must determine the cause of death. It is up to the buyer to provide evidence that the cause of death was genetic. Upon these findings Silver Labs of Oak Hill must be notified within 24 hours. Puppies must be microchipped before 16 weeks of age by a licensed veterinarian. Silver Labs of Oak Hill must be registered as a secondary contact and the microchip number MUST be given to Silver Labs of Oak Hill. Should any of these terms not be met, then the Genetic health Guarantee will be held void.
Hip Guarantee:
Silver Labs of Oak Hill guarantees the puppy to be free of hereditary severe hip dysplasia for 18 months. If the puppy is found to have hereditary severe hip dysplasia within 18 months, Silver Labs of Oak Hill will refund the buyer $500 (made payable to a licensed veterinarian) to be used toward hip replacement surgery for the puppy. The puppy must be microchipped before the age of 16 weeks by a licensed veterinarian. Silver Labs of Oak Hill must be registered as a secondary contact and the microchip number MUST be given to Silver Labs of Oak Hill.
